AirEqualizer Wins Network Optimization News Innovation Award

Network Optimization News, an online information technology magazine, today announced that the AirEqualizer wireless access point by APconnections has been chosen by its editors as the best new 802.11 wireless technology innovation of 2007.

"We knew this technology was innovative and this award just further confirms it. There is nothing else on the market that can stretch your 802.11 operational range like the AirEqualizer," said Art Reisman, CEO of APconnections. "With our technology, you simply identify the overly taxed APs and selectively replace them with AirEqualizers. The rest of your network technology remains unchanged."

APconnections adapted the award-winning technology behind its widely popular NetEqualizer network optimization appliance in order to create the AirEqualizer. When the access point is congested, the AirEqualizer's fairness algorithm favors business class applications so that large downloads don't slow down latency sensitive applications such as VoIP and video as well as ERM, CRM and other business critical applications.

In addition to the equalizing technology, AirEqualizer comes with standard commercial AP features, including authentication, billing, re-direction, routing, and firewall protection. The AirEqualizer can also be used as a proven hidden node solution.

Like the NetEqualizer, the AirEqualizer is designed to fit easily into any network with minimal setup time. The technology doesn't require users to purchase products from any single equipment supplier, like many other hidden nodes solutions.

Additional information on the AirEqualizer can be found in the product white paper at http://www.netequalizer.com/Hidden_Node_White_Paper.php.

AirEqualizer is now available in Western Europe exclusively through APconnections' distribution partner Ai Bridges. For more information on Ai Bridges, visit their Web site at http://www.Aibridges.ie.

Updated AirEqualizer Is Now Available!

After a few months in a limited release, the updated version of the AirEqualizer is now available to the public!

In addition to its existing access point capabilities, the AirEqualizer can now be used as a proven hidden node solution. Like the NetEqualizer, the AirEqualizer is designed to fit easily into any network with minimal setup time. Look for Us at This Week's CIMA Conference

This Thursday, Art will be speaking at the 2007 Colorado Information Management Association conference at the Cheyenne Mountain Resort in Colorado Springs, CO.

At 10:15, Art will present "Using Intelligent Bandwidth Control to Maximize Your Network Performance." He will explore the business of shared Internet bandwidth, discussing both the amount that organizations should purchase as well as the different types of technology that can be used to optimize existing bandwidth resources.

He will offer an in-depth look at the optimization technology available and explain what administrators can expect from these potential solutions. Both the pros and cons of bandwidth control will be discussed, as well as alternative options that exist to alleviate and prevent network congestion, such as simply adding more bandwidth. Art will draw from his years of experience working with network optimization technology to provide a clear and well-rounded picture of the industry today and the future of the field.

If you're in the area, be sure to stop by!
